Street Talk at Tate Modern
26 September 2011, 6.30pm
Tate Modern, Starr Auditorium, London
Stephen Willats presented a selection of films related to his artworks and installations from the early 1990s to 2011. Never before seen outside of a gallery context, the fast-paced films capture urban ‘datastreams’, or fleeting moments of social interaction in such cities as Amsterdam, Brussels and London. The selection – introduced by the artist – included elements from his datastream project, a portrait of New York produced for Reena Spaulings Fine Art.
This event marked the launch of Street Talk: Amsterdam.
